Have an idea for a business? Think you might have an idea for a business? Wondering if you have what it takes to be a business owner? You’re not the first – Getting Serious has helped many women just like you determine whether starting and owning a business is for them – many who are running thriving companies today. From your personal skills assessment to outlining your business plan, this four-week workshop will take you step-by-step through every facet of what’s involved in business ownership.

Knowledgeable, caring instructors provide a highly interactive experience so you get the practical information and insight you need, in a supportive environment with other women exploring the same issues. Here’s just some of what’s covered:

  • identifying your marketable skills and translating them into business ideas.
  • putting your business ideas through a reality filter.
  • aligning your expectations with your skills.
  • qualities of a successful business owner.
  • barriers to starting a business and how to overcome them.
  • balancing 6 personal and career goals while generating income.
  • determining start-up capital needs, and where to find sources.
  • how to get started with action planning.

Tuition and Fees

  • this 8 hour workshop costs $125. the workbook distributed on the first night of class is included in the cost.
