"Getting Serious" is not a pre-requisite for the course. Your basic writing and computer skills will be assessed, along with your business concept. Should you need to hone some of your basic computer skills before applying, please look at the list of free computer workshop offerings through our education and trasition program.
Tuition and Scholarships - The tuition for the course is $2,195, (includes all course materials). Upon admission to the class, you will be asked to submit a non-refundable $75 deposit to guarantee your placement. Please don't let financial concerns prevent you from applying. Partial scholarships are available through Mercy Connections. A scholarship application is included in the Start Up application. Complete the form on page 4, and submit it with a copy of your last year's tax returns and W-2's. Need based partial scholarships are awarded on a first come first serve basis. VSAC Non-Degree Grants - The Vermont Student Assistance Corporation non-degree grants pay our tuition for most lower income applicants. Call 1-800-882-4166 for more information, or set up your account online. VSAC will need a copy of your last year's tax return and W-2's in order to begin processing your application. Processing may take as long as 3 weeks. VSAC operates on a first come first serve basis. They begin processing applications for the entire academic year beginning July 1st. Should you be interested in taking the Winter/Spring course, it is wise to think ahead in terms of VSAC, as they have been known to run out of funding before the beginning of our winter/spring session. Grants given in the early fall can be deferred until winter/spring. Their online application process is very clear and simple, but they must have all required forms before processing can begin. Select WSBP, Burlington from their menu of course choices. Along with your basic contact information, you will be asked to enter the tuition and fees for the course. (Tuition $2,195 + Application fee $25 = $2,220)
