“Mercy Connections created an open, welcoming safe space to walk through the personal and professional process of being in business.”
In the summer of 2012, I was working in Waitsfield. A mentor encouraged me to look into Mercy Connections. I did a little online research, then filed it away. Fast forward to 2014, I started my business. I was busy trying to figure out the day-to-day. I realized I needed to back up and gain some basic business knowledge, so I enrolled in the Getting Serious class that spring.
Getting Serious solidified assumptions I had about myself. I was able to list concrete skills that helped me confirm business ownership is the right path for me. I was ready to dive deeper and began the Start Up class.
I love that Mercy Connections offers a place for women. They created an open, welcoming safe space to walk through the personal and professional process of being in business.
At first I thought I had to be more prepared to begin Start Up, when really that’s what the class helps with. I think a lot of us are trained to be more competitive with each other but in this experience you have a chance to bounce ideas off of others you might not have thought of.
