Mercy Connections welcomes new members to the board of trustees

Mercy Connections announces three new board members: Fran Briand, Nicole LaBrecque and Laura Lipton. Dawn Ellinwood, Mercy Connections board chair, said, “I am thrilled to welcome Fran, Nicole and Laura to the Mercy Connections’ board. They each offer significant experience and sincere passion for our mission.  Their service will be instrumental in advancing our organization and community.”

Fran Briand grew up in South Burlington, VT and graduated from Saint Michaels College and Northeastern University. Fran returned to Vermont in 2018 and is a CPA Manager at Gallagher Flynn & Company. When not at work or volunteering, he enjoys the outdoors near the lake, playing golf, skiing and playing music.

As Vice President at PC Construction, Nicole LaBrecque directs the business development, public relations and the marketing and communications functions company-wide. Nicole actively manages all of PC Construction’s external relations functions. Prior to joining PC, Nicole spent ten years at Fletcher Allen Health Care in the Development and Facilities Planning departments. Nicole lives in South Burlington with her husband, John Dawson and dog Olive.

Laura Lipton, Co-director MiraVia, LLC, is an international consultant whose writing, research, keynotes, and seminars focus on effective and innovative instructional practices and on building professional and organizational capacities for enhanced learning. Laura is author and co-author of numerous publications. Laura lives in northern Vermont and enjoys the many seasons.
