U.S. Citizenship Test Preparation
SCHEDULE & LOCATION: 1/19/22-6/9/22, Mondays 12:00-1:30, Zoom • Mondays 3:30-4:45, In person at Mercy Connections • Wednesdays or Thursdays from 9:00-11:00 am, In person at Mercy Connections or Zoom. (Each matched pair will meet at one of these times weekly during the semester)
INSTRUCTORS: Melissa Lang & TutorsAdult learners are matched with skilled tutors one-on-one to prepare for the U.S. Citizenship Test. Students will study United States history, government, and geography. Each class includes practice questions and answers from the U.S. Citizenship Test and time to practice English Language Learning skills. Staff can also assist in the test application process. English Language Learning (ELL) & Academic Tutoring
SCHEDULE: Tuesday or Wednesday mornings 9:00-11:00 (by appointment), 1/18/22-6/8/22
LOCATION: In-person at Mercy Connections
INSTRUCTORS: Melissa Lang & TutorsAdults are matched with skilled tutors one-on-one to improve skills in reading, writing, math or English Language Learning (ELL). Each student is provided an individualized education support plan. REGISTER

INSTRUCTOR: Melissa LangAdults in this class will read, write about, and explore Black and African American experiences in the U.S. through fiction, non-fiction or poetry. Writing exercises will encourage creativity and reflection. Students will support each other through intentional listening and focused feedback. REGISTER
