About Mercy Connections & Your Investment

Mercy Connections is a community-based, multi-cultural, economic and social justice organization, providing opportunity for people to pursue and achieve their goals. We educate, match needs to resources, transcend barriers, and embrace radical inclusion in a vibrant community. We believe in the value of every person.

The work of Mercy Connections has never been more urgent. We need your help to continue to thrive and grow in the post-COVID economy. Your sponsorship is an investment in critical programs and services to help keep our shared community resilient and connected. Please join us!

Please join us at HULA LAKESIDE to hear the stories Mercy Connections is known for sharing at our Annual event. The program is sure to be powerful and will feature the strength, progress, and resiliency of participants. It will also honor 20 years of Mercy Connections and the local Sisters of Mercy who founded the organization.

The Sisters of Mercy founded Mercy Connections when Trinity College closed in 2001 in order to ensure the most underserved populations of Vermont would have access to educational opportunities and resources. Mercy Connections’ mission empowers people to make significant life changes through education, mentoring, entrepreneurship and community. The organization values the inherent dignity of each person and believes that everyone is worthy of compassion and the opportunity to pursue personal aspirations within a supportive learning community.

Two decades later, Mercy Connections has grown into a robust, highly-regarded social justice and learning organization, annually serving a community of more than 450 diverse, multi-cultural adults from ages 18 to 75. Mercy Connections is known for: being a leader in preparing women to launch and operate their own businesses; providing resources, support and much-needed social capital to women trying to reclaim their lives after incarceration; and offering a diverse portfolio of adult education classes, academic tutoring, self-development, and support programs to assist in higher education pursuits, jobs, U.S. citizenship exam preparation, community and leadership positions, recovery and wellbeing.

As we commemorate this milestone, we are doubly committed to continuing this work for the next 20 years and beyond. We hope you’ll join us!
