U.S. Citizenship Preparation

Realizing your dream of citizenship

In this program, students prepare to take the exam which is required to become a U.S. Citizen.

Helping immigrants & refugees study for the test

Adult learners are matched with skilled tutors to prepare for the U.S. Citizenship test. Students learn United States history, government, and geography. Each session includes practice questions and answers from the test and time to practice English skills. We explain the application process, help students understand the language of the N-400 application and refer them to legal support at our partner agency, AALV. At AALV, a trained legal expert will help them complete and file the application.

Bhutan, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, Mexico, Moldova, Nepal, Peru, Somalia, Tanzania, Vietnam. What do these countries have in common? They are all home countries of the students currently enrolled in U.S. Citizenship preparation at Mercy Connections.

Over the years, 100% of our students have gone on to pass the exam.

I came to Mercy Connections because I am pursuing citizenship. They set me up with a tutor and the resources needed to take the classes. I am ready to take the citizenship test. I have waited a long time and am thankful I have gotten to this point with the help of Mercy Connections.
